Our Palo Santo Wood Stick (Bursera Graveolens), commonly known as “holy wood,” is sustainably sourced and brings the natural essence of Palo Santo into your space.
Indigenous to South America and especially abundant in Peru, Palo Santo is revered for its calming and aromatic properties that naturally promote tranquility and relaxation.
Traditionally, Palo Santo has been used in Peruvian shamanic rituals and ceremonies for its spiritual and purifying properties. Its cleansing smoke is perfect for purifying homes, workplaces, and personal spaces, making it a beloved natural alternative to incense and smudging herbs.
Features of Our Palo Santo Wood Stick
- 100% pure Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens)
- Responsibly harvested from naturally fallen branches, cut into approximately 4-inch sticks
- Free from additives and artificial fragrances
Direction of use
- Hold one end of the Palo Santo stick at an angle.
- Use a jet-flame waterproof lighter to ignite the opposite end.
- Allow the stick to burn for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until you see a steady flame.
- Gently blow out the flame, leaving the stick smoldering and producing fragrant smoke.
- To cleanse your space, hold the smoldering stick and move it around the area in a circular motion.
- Focus on doorways, windows, and corners, where energy can often become stagnant.
- If you’re cleansing yourself, carefully pass the smoke over your body, starting from your head and moving downward, while keeping the stick a safe distance away.
- As you move the stick, you may want to set an intention or say a prayer. For example, think about removing negative energy or inviting peace and positivity.
- Place the stick in a fireproof dish or bowl to let it smolder naturally.
- Palo Santo sticks tend to go out on their own, but you can relight it as needed if you want to continue the process.
